These steps are essential to modify the physical and chemical properties of coconut fiber, ensuring it functions optimally as a high-performance growing medium for crops. Without proper processing, raw coconut fiber retains excessive salt levels, leading to nutrient imbalances and an increased risk of Pythium-induced root rot. Rehydration Guide
For optimal results with Idrolab Hydroponics compressed coconut substrate, the first rehydration should be performed using a drip irrigation system, applying water in 5% increments of the total substrate volume every 15-20 minutes until full saturation is achieved.
